About Taura
Lives in Albuquerque with her 3 dogs. Originally from Minnesota, Taura lived in Arizona, Virginia and Florida before settling in New Mexico.
Holds a BA in Humanities, minor in Public Administration from NAU and a MA in Legal Studies, Conflict Resolution concentration from ASU.
A believer in volunteerism, she holds board positions with CABQ Volunteer Advisory Board and Dress for Success Albuquerque.
Proud parent of five young adults: Joseph, Nathan, Madeline, Matthew, and Jacob.
Taura has enjoyed a successful career with organizations large and small such as Casa Esperanza, American Red Cross and Goodwill Industries

Developed and hosted a fundraising event to raise awareness for the protection of journalists in conflict zones internationally.
Established the Native American partnerships initiative to develop culturally appropriate disaster preparedness and response activities on tribal lands.
